my external HD is no more. a friend of *KotaOtan is looking at it, a last ditch effort to salvage data before breaking down and going to an expensive data retrieval service. 8^P
the plan is to get the same make/model of HD, and simply switch the disks inside. kinda risky if you don't do it in a safe room, but all of my data is on there!
i only have what remains on my jump drive or on my laptop. my webcomic files, original digital art...gone.

i'm grateful kev's friends are helping me. cross your fingers, people-this plan to switch out disks may work.
i'll keep you posted.

once i do get my data back, i'm making multiple copies on dvd. just and external alone is not enough! why, oh why kit, did you not make backups? bah!
